Fil-Am killed in Iraq war
A Filipino-American soldier was killed in the
U.S.-led war against Iraq, ABS-CBN News reported Monday.
The soldier was identified as Sgt. Joseph
Menusa, 33, a member of the 1st U.S. Marines Combat
Engineering Battalion.
Marine Corps spokesman Capt. Shawn Turner
confirmed that Menusa was killed near the town of Nasiriya in
southern Iraq when his battalion was engaged in gunfight with
Iraq's elite Republican Guards.
He is survived by his wife, Stacy, and
three-year-old son, Joshua. The family was notified Friday
last week.
Menusa also served in the first Gulf
