ANKARA (Reuters) - Turkish Foreign Minister Abdullah Gul has asked his Greek counterpart not to allow a plane hijacked from Turkey late on Friday to take off from Athens, Turkey's state-run Anatolian news agency said.

"Foreign Minister Gul has asked Greek Foreign Minister George Papandreou not to allow the hijacked Turkish Airlines plane to take off unless absolutely necessary," the agency said.
